Fasting is a time of aligning our hearts with the Lord, and Isaiah 58 specifically links times of fasting to a call on us - to pay attention to the needs of others. For that reason, we like to receive a Special Offering, as we close our Fast, that helps fund our outreaches and alms giving throughout the year.
